Shafaq News/ Member of Parliament from Sulaymaniyah Governorate, Rebwar Abdul Rahman, announced on Sunday that the federal government obtained from the beginning of this year until the end of last April a "large" financial surplus from crude oil sales.

In a statement received by Shafaq News Agency, a member of the House of Representatives from Sulaymaniyah Governorate, Rebwar Abdul Rahman, said that during the first four months of this year, Iraq obtained 10 billion and 303 million dollars of surplus oil prices.

And he indicated that in January, Iraq received one billion and 171 million dollars, while in February it received two billion and 132 million dollars, and in the month of March it received 3 billion and 800 million dollars, while in the month of April it received 3 billion and 200 million dollars. .

Democratic Party spokesman Mahdi al-Faili told {Euphrates News}: "It is hoped that there will be a meeting between the Democratic Party and the Kurdistan Union, and if there is a response from the Union, it is possible to find a solution to the political dispute and the outstanding crisis." 

He added, "The response is to change the National Union for their candidate, and to resort to a settlement candidate to end the dispute." 

And the head of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, Massoud Barzani, had postponed, according to informed sources, the launch of his initiative, the texts of which have not yet been known, despite repeated talk about it in political circles. 

According to information from a Kurdish source, the reason for postponing the initiative is due to what can be called the "last understanding" with the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan regarding the position of the President of the Republic, pending the results of the two-party meeting.

According to the Kurdish source, "Barzani's initiative will depend on the outcomes of the meeting of the two Kurdish parties in Sulaymaniyah. If the results are positive, Barzani will launch his initiative, which the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan can adopt if it is in his interest." 

He continued, "But if the talks between the two parties fail, it will most likely be the last talks between the two parties and could witness an eternal divorce between them. In this case, Barzani will not launch any initiative because it will not achieve any goal and be in vain."
