The meeting with the senior management of the Central Bank of Iraq discussed a number of issues related to the roles and tasks of the Central Bank of Iraq, and its development initiatives in reviving the economy, as well as the empowerment initiative and the bank’s role in monitoring banks and their classification mechanisms, and talking about the platform for letters of guarantee and its practical effects.

MZ: Lets talk about what I am hearing……It’s been pretty positive. “Calm in Baghdad: Postponing the decision on the lawsuit to dissolve parliament and calls for resolving the crisis”

MZ: They are only postponing until tomorrow which is Thursday. At which point we should get some resolution on the government and where we are headed from here. So imo, this is good news. We will watch it closely.

MZ: Still getting very encouraging reports out of redemption areas…I am talking about Reno, Zurich, Miami and others…..These are cities they are taking care of Tier 3 and 4a and getting prepared for us in 4b. I am still getting lots of reports of movement of secure money in other countries, but not going to the people yet.

MZ: I am still don’t have any reports of individuals  with money in thier pockets.  .

Member: Bruce says we all go tomorrow, Tier 3 funds in their accounts will be released, and we will receive the links to set redemption center appointments via emails.

Member: Bruce is fairly excited about this thing going by tomorrow

MZ: Let’s hope Bruce is correct. But I am hearing a tremendous amount of chatter their goal is Sept 6th. I am hearing this from many different directions.

Member: I am hearing that tier 3 has the money in their accounts and they can see it but cannot touch it until the RV happens.

MZ: I am hearing that as well….I am getting a whole lot of reports that say just that from many, many sources. .

Member: Maybe tier 3 get access to funds at same time T4b gets notifications??????? Shotgun type start?

Member: Tier 3 is mostly people who have historic bonds, like German bonds, large groups like the Indian nations, some church groups, etc. We are Tier 4B - the internet group.

A legal expert explained the mechanism of the vacancy of the position of the Prime Minister. 

In the case of the conduct of daily affairs and so. And the caretaker prime minister, Mustafa Al-Kazemi, had threatened yesterday to leave the position and announce his vacancy at the appropriate time, according to Article 81 of the constitution, in the event that "continuing to provoke chaos, conflict, discord, strife, and failure to listen to the voice of reason" against the background of recent events and armed clashes in the region. green.

And the expert, Ali Al-Tamimi, said in a statement that {Euphrates News} received a copy of it: “Article 81 said first of the constitution that the president of the republic takes the position of the prime minister when the position becomes vacant for any reason, and the second paragraph of this article talks about the election of the new prime minister and the government of new with its ministers.

The Iraqi government because the daily affairs administration according to Article 64 II of the constitution is basically resigned, and it continues to handle daily matters until the formation of the new government as a result of the dissolution of Parliament. Therefore, what comes out in the event of a request for exemption from the Prime Minister is only the Prime Minister, and this does not apply to other ministers because The existence of the Constitutional League according to the full powers.

And Al-Tamimi continued, "In the event that Prime Minister Al-Kazemi submits a request for exemption, the President of the Republic will replace him to conduct daily affairs until the formation of the new government."

He pointed out that "the Prime Minister submits a request for exemption to the President of the Republic in accordance with Article 18 of the Cabinet System 2 of 2019, and the Council of Ministers, if this occurs, continues under the chairmanship of the President of the Republic until the formation of the new government in accordance with Article 42 of the Cabinet System above."  LINK

MilitiaMan:  Interesting that there is so many things converging at the same time.. Halbousi has not set an emergency session and now has called for a three day mourning for those killed the other day (sadly).

The court has postponed the case of dissolving the HOR until tomorrow, Thursday..

If Kahdimi steps down and the President steps into the position until there is formation of the new government he will have the necessary powers ("Full Powers" is mentioned nowhere in the constitution. "Necessary Powers", is.)  and it will be all constitutional.

Also, Iraq will be deemed stable and secure in the eyes of the Region and the World once done, imo.. SMH, we cannot make this up nor time it like this.

Welcome, everybody to the big call tonight. It's Tuesday, August 30th And you're listening to the big call. Thanks for tuning in everybody again, for what will be hopefully, our last call. We'll see how that goes. I do have some intel that's looking very strong for us. So we'll approach that in the Intel section.

Let's take a look at where we are on our intelligence - because we did get some information this afternoon and then we got more information - Oh, an hour, an hour and a half before the call tonight. So it's very, very positive. You know, I get a little antsy when it gets towards the end of the month - wondering whether or not they're going to let it go before the first of next month or not.

And we kind of have the answer to that. At least we believe the information that we're getting is very strong. We had had three or four different sets of Intel providers - our top sources - indicate for notifications. Remember, we haven't talked since Thursday night.

So we had heard Monday, Tuesday - We had heard Monday, Tuesday from another and then we heard Monday - Tuesday -Wednesday, from our lead bank. And I thought, okay, are we really pushing all the way to Wednesday?

Are we really going all the way to Wednesday, thinking that we would have this today? Well, we didn't have it today. So that information didn't hold up. But what we found out was - alright, let's go back.

Remember, all 209 countries around the globe are having their own currencies asset backed - gold backed - other assets count as well - not just gold.

So we finally had the last two countries come in.  See today is Tuesday - They came in Sunday afternoon. One was Mexico - they came in around two or three o'clock in the afternoon with their gold backed currency, their Peso and then we also had Canada was the last country to come in with a gold backed Canadian dollar –

So they got it in just in time to trade starting Sunday night, which they do the Forex itself closes down from about four o'clock in the afternoon on Friday - and then reopens Sunday night - some are Sunday afternoon, Sunday, Sunday evening.

And then the banks do their trading starting at around nine or 9:30pm Sunday night for the week. And so this was the case.

So that was a good thing. I was like okay, we're not waiting on any, any of the countries to have their gold backed currency or their asset backed currency ready  or at least declared that they have it.

And I thought okay, but guess what, today we heard earlier, or no, we heard this last night. Oh, but there's one more thing. One more thing to do, but we didn't know what it was. And we still don't know what it is.

So that one more thing which we don't know what it is - Maybe done now, or may not yet be done. We don't know. But the later information is telling us it actually could be Iraq because Iraq did dissolve their parliamentary form of government.

The former Prime Minister Hashemi is going to be taking over again as commander in chief of Iraq - and their new republic. So they're going to a new republic form of government, like we are going to a restored Republic form of government as well.

Okay, so that occurred and what we're hearing and this came directly from our sources in Iraq that the Iraqi dinar rates should be out tomorrow and possibly seen here as early as tomorrow. I'm going to qualify that was the idea of when we think we're going to start exchanges.

Because we got information later today, from I think about as high up as sources you can go in the treasury, and it's indicating that we will have our notifications within 36 hours of 6pm Tonight Eastern.

What that means is as I get distracted here, sorry that we should have our notifications tomorrow.

It could drag over a little bit into Thursday, but I'm being told by from the same source that we would have exchange capability on Thursday - the first of September - and that is what I thought would happen. And I'm not I'm not calling it but I'm very close to doing that - because this makes sense to me.

That they would have an appointment set up on the last day of the month of August, Set our appointment and start on the first of September - that makes sense to me - And I think that's what we should be looking for.

And if the information of 36 hours, and that's within 36 hours, not in within 36 hours of 6pm Tonight, and if you can do the math, you can figure out when that would be over. We should get this party started and get exchanges starting on the first of September, which is Thursday.

So the other thing is the bondholders that are expecting their emails.  Those we heard earlier were supposed to go out or they are to go out either overnight tonight or tomorrow to receive those and those emails are the ones that give the bondholders access ability to their funds in that they can already see their accounts. But they haven't been able to access yet -- They would get the codes the access codes in those emails –

Whether it comes in overnight tonight, or tomorrow - we're going to have a virtual shotgun start with tier three bondholders - so Iraq’s got a new deal going tomorrow - Hashemi should be let's say sworn in as commander in chief of Iraq.  And that's tomorrow morning. We think Iraq time.

And so we should be receiving our notifications and getting this party started. I would say we'd be hopefully exchanging on Thursday.  That's what it looks like.

Is there a possibility we can go tomorrow with exchanges? I think there's that possibility, but I don't see it personally - I think it would be on Thursday - the first -  I think that's when they'll do it - and that's what we were getting from the highest source that we have in the treasury.

Okay, so that's what I wanted to share with you guys tonight.

I want to thank you everybody - this has been a really wild 11 years. And I believe you know guys, I'm not calling it but I'm telling you the information that I'm getting. I'm giving you the latest information that we have. It looks very, very good. To be notified tomorrow, and start on Thursday

Robert Mugabe could have gone down in history with the same esteem and grandeur as Nelson Mandela.

Like Mandela, Mugabe was imprisoned for several years for being a prominent anti-colonialist leader in Zimbabwe— then called Rhodesia.

Upon release from prison, and with a little help from the international community, Mugabe became Prime Minister of Zimbabwe in 1980.  And the first few years of his leadership were quite reasonable.  But that all changed in 1987 when the constitution was amended and Mugabe gained dictatorial powers. 

Mugabe destroyed the economy with insane regulations, fought expensive wars, and indebted the nation.

He also confiscated private land from established (mostly white) farmers, which he redistributed to his supporters, most of whom had no experience in farming.

Unsurprisingly, Zimbabwe’s once-booming agriculture exports collapsed almost overnight.

This authoritarian control pervaded across nearly all industries, and by the early 2000s, Zimbabwe’s economy was in shambles.

About half the country was unemployed and inflation skyrocketed.

In 2001 alone, retail prices doubled. But that was just the beginning. By 2003, inflation was nearly 600%. By 2006, more than 1,200%.

At its peak in 2008, Zimbabwe’s inflation was estimated by various economists to be somewhere between 500 billion and 89 SEXTILLIAN percent, which looks like this: 89,000,000,000,000,000,000,000%.

In 2009, the government finally capitulated and chose to abandon its currency altogether. And for the next several years, Zimbabwe had no official currency.

People transacted in dollars, euros, South African rand, Chinese renminbi… any foreign currency they could get their hands on.

I’ve been to Zimbabwe a few times; the people are intelligent, resourceful, and good-natured. And they have amazing stories to tell about living through hyperinflation.

By 2016, Zimbabwe’s government decided to give a national currency another chance. They started by issuing “bond notes”. And a couple years later they reestablished a new Zimbabwe dollar.

But this time, they promised to use restraint in printing money.

Now, I’m sure you will be shocked to learn that the central bank of Zimbabwe did not exercise restraint...

The new currency was introduced at parity with the US dollar, allegedly worth 1:1. And Zimbabwe’s government threatened to imprison anyone who ignored the official exchange rate.

Naturally, though, the government’s excessive spending and money printing caused the currency to lose value almost immediately. And soon they had to establish price controls based on an exchange rate of 25:1 to USD.

By the start of 2022, the Zimbabwean dollar was worth about 108:1 USD. And it’s now trading around 520:1.

But hey, that’s way better than the 35 quadrillion to 1 ratio of 2009...

There has been an interesting development, however. Instead of continuing with its failed policies, the central bank of Zimbabwe has begun issuing gold coins.

And the 91.67% pure, one ounce Zimbabwean gold coins are currently going for about $1,830 USD.

As of early August, about 4,500 had been sold to be used for local trade, which means they’re circulating as a legal currency in the Zimbabwean economy. That makes these gold coins the most stable currency in the world.

Now, personally I’m a bit skeptical and would love to see a full chemical assay to make sure the coins are actually as pure as the government claims.

Also, crypto would be a MUCH better medium of exchange for day-to-day transactions than gold coins.

But (assuming everything is legitimate) Zimbabwe is at least taking a step in the right direction, which is more than most western governments can say for themselves.

Sure, the US, UK, and Europe don’t have anywhere close to Zimbabwe’s level of inflation, which was more than 200% in the last 12 months.

But since 1971, when the US dollar was decoupled from gold, the value of the US dollar has fallen by nearly 87%.

Even worse is that interest rates in the US (when adjusted for inflation) have been negative for most of the past twenty years. Anyone who responsibly saved their money in, say, a savings account, LOST money after accounting for inflation and taxes.

Given that governments and central banks are key drivers of inflation and interest rates, this is tantamount to official theft.

And yet they keep doubling down on failed policies. They act like they can cure inflation, which in large part was caused by excessive government spending, with more government spending.

And they treat the absurdly-named Inflation Reduction Act as if it’s some sort of magical spell that can ward off the most destructive economic monsters.

If only that were true.

But in the real world, inflation will inevitably increase as they borrow another trillion dollars to pour into the IRS, triggering millions of new audits and causing American productivity to decline.

Forgiving student debt is another inflationary move. If nothing else, universities know that they can raise their tuition because all of the suckers taxpayers are footing the bill for an extra $10,000 to $20,000.

The US national debt now stands at $31 trillion, an increase of $2.4 trillion so far this fiscal year. And the Treasury Department is forecasting multi-trillion dollar deficits for years to come.

These deficits are extremely inflationary... because the government pays for them by having the central bank print more money.

At least Zimbabwe has figured it out. Western governments, on the other hand, still believe they can print and spend as much money as they like without consequence.

This is pure madness. But fortunately you don’t have to wait for the federal government to start acting responsibly.

You are perfectly free to store a portion of your savings in gold, silver, or any number of other real assets that hold value in times of inflation.

And with the way things are going, that might not be a bad idea to consider.

The Banks will be undergoing a transition. Cash will not be readily available for a period of a few days. Skinman:  You know I hear Rioting and people getting killed and talk of how everything that Iraq worked for is gone and over, that they’ve lost it. Then I hear Sadr I said stop it and go home and they do. I hear their Supreme Court It’s supposed to make a ruling on the 30th, then I hear the 30th is a holiday and they’re not in session so now tomorrow the 31st they’re supposed to make a decision

I hear they don’t wanna make a decision, that they would rather have the United Nations or the United States step in and take the situation over and have them dissolve parliament. It’s all incredibly confusing and half the time I scratch my head wondering to myself was this last move good or bad. Myself like many other people I’m sure Have enough dinar to live comfortably for the rest of their lives and enhance their dependence lives for decades to come.

Being so close to having a life that I could only have dreamed of and being able to take care of my great great great great grand children generations from now is so exciting. But when will this happen some people say within the next several days others say years if ever. So who are you supposed to go ahead and listen to?

Worse than that the Iraqi people law about the strength of their currency and it will be the most powerful in the region. The government has money but no way to make laws and distribute to these people until they form a government and then it gets really creative. These greedy politicians wanting to stay in power and not change anything and continue to steal from the government is the people get poorer and poorer.

There are times I wonder if it will ever change if I get a chance to exchange or get a chance to see the country of Iraq rise to prosperity. I think of all the good things in the world can happen with this money is ready to be reinstated and then revalued…. I do believe it is close but it seems like the closer it gets the harder those bad people wanna push it away and keep it from ever happening

Al-Khazraji stressed in a statement that Al-Furat News received a copy of it that this situation "requires everyone to sit at the dialogue table to resolve the situation and formulate a new era in line with the desired change and preserve Iraq from external interference that is clearly interfering in shaping the shape of Iraqi politics."

And he indicated that "the danger that surrounds the Iraqis is understood by all politicians, except that some of them fear confrontation and others benefit from chaos, which calls them to take responsibility and work with their Iraqi addresses and not rely on the outside in managing the crisis." 

Al-Khazraji pointed out that "the phase of chaos will not end, but will only worsen unless there is a national will that abandons its sectarian and nationalist labels to formulate a new situation that limits the stalemate that has come to dominate the political scene, since not everyone is safe from what is happening."turning point that requires the formulation of a new era

First: The President of the Republic takes the place of the Prime Minister when the .position becomes vacant for any reason

Second: When the situation stipulated in item “First” of this article is achieved, the President of the Republic assigns another candidate to form the ministry, within a period not exceeding fifteen days, and in accordance with the provisions of Article 76 .of this Constitution

And earlier, Al-Kazemi said in a speech addressed to the people after the latest yesterday, which I followed (Baghdad Today), that "I am talking to you today, and I ".am in pain at the situation that the political conflict has brought us to

He added, "I extend my thanks to the security forces, which I wanted to be a party ;)to the conflict (uncontrolled weapons) with (uncontrolled weapons He explained that "for more than two years, we have been adopting a policy of confining arms to the hands of the state, despite all the accusations, appeals and ".missiles directed at us

And Al-Kazemi said, "I warn from here, if they want to continue to stir up chaos, conflict, discord, and strife, and not listen to the voice of reason, I will take my moral and patriotic steps by announcing the vacancy of the position at the appropriate time, according to Article 81 of the constitution, and holding them accountable before the Iraqis, and before the history of our country." It has been bleeding for many years, and every day we push to the death thousands of our best youth, why? For what sin and what offense?
